Encarnacion with his usual defensive wizardry.

They ruled that a hit? LOL. EE just dropped the ball. Too funny.

They give Phillips an infield hit on that

Seriously, with a knuckleball pitcher on the mound why would you put both EE and Francisco on the infield?

BP got a hit on that? Nice home official scorer gift there.
Sabermetrics is this: A batter's goal is to extend the inning. Extend enough innings and you're going to score runs. Extend more innings than your opponent and you're going to score more runs than him.

Bruce lines a single to right. 1-0 Reds. Phillips is thrown out at 3rd.

That was close. BP almost got tagged out before Frazier scored.

Man, Phillips is slow as hell these days. He was easily thrown out going to third. With two outs and him running on contact, he should have made it easily.

Oh well, at least the run scores.

Re: 6/22/14 - Reds vs Blue Jays

It bothers me way too much that scorekeepers take care of the home team. I'm sorry but Francisco's throw didn't skip or bounce but landed in EE's glove.....that has to be an error on EE, it just does. I call that an error on a high school first baseman

    I wish Phillips understood that.
