I have that 1940 cap, they sell it through the MLB site. I love it.

Every time I wear it, someone says to me "Always Red, I didn't know you were a Cubs fan." Then I have to explain that the Reds wore this cap during the late 30's and early 40's.

And I am most certainly not a Cubs fan.

And I got tired of doing so, and now I only wear this awesome cap around my house.

Blue in the uniform makes sense when the team is called the Red Stockings. When they're called the Reds, it doesn't at all.

That is the downside of most awesome vintage baseball hats. I got my dad a New York Giants hat as they were his team growing up and everyone always comments on his "Mets hat".


I myself have a nice St. Louis Browns hat which I will continue to wear when I feel like even if I am mistaken for being a...well, you know.
