"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Really wish they would send down a reliever and call up a bat, since BP still isn't healthy.

Probably no need since he'll be in tomorrow if not today

Phillips will do some baseball activity on the field. If that goes well, Price said he may change lineup. #reds

When I was a kid, I always thought he said "Whatever he EATS he destroys." I never understood what that had to do with boxing.

Agreed. No sense working with a 3-man bench.

And it's not as if any of the 8 guys in the pen are iffy like Marshall....

Right. Even with BP healthy, they don't need 8 relievers right now, after three straight strong starts.

Will be a rain delay. Cubs will update. My new app Dark Sky says it's going to rain for an hour. #reds

Reds have to lead the league in rain this year.

Guessing Walt is working on a player acquisition. Otherwise he'd have a position player up already.

It's been a wet spring for most of the country, that's for sure.

Not Walt's style. Sure would love to see Zobrist come to the Reds though.
Sabermetrics is this: A batter's goal is to extend the inning. Extend enough innings and you're going to score runs. Extend more innings than your opponent and you're going to score more runs than him.

Forget the rain. It's never an official game until the Reds piss away a run between third base and home plate. - Bluegrass Redleg
