How long is he expected to be out? I always want BP at 2nd but I don't mind Skip as much at 2nd than at CF

Reds with 13 pitchers and a four man bench.

Phillips out, making it basically a three man bench of Pena, Heisey and Santiago.

Hope this isn't a marathon type game or we could see Mike Leake as a position player.

They should make teams play the Cubs with a three man bench all the time just to make it fair.

Our Relief Corps hasn't seen a game since Friday (except the newly called up on Saturday Carlos Contreras, and Chapman, who doesn't count as the Relief Corps we have concerns about).

Price needs options to pitch the non-Chapman innings.

Has there been any mention about Broxton? He struggled on Friday while some suggested (though it was only a 2-3 mph drop) that his fastball wasn't where it should be.

His FB was fine in his last outing. Right where it should be. It's probably no big deal. Sometimes guys simply have a tough time loosening up.

Price needs options, but the Reds won't and can't stay with a 13 man pitching staff very long.

The need for position players comes up. Like tonight with Phillips. If they need three good pinch hitters tonight, they don't have them.

The current formation resulted from a taxed pen, which hopefully is a problem near fixed.

said I'm on the golf DL --- surgeon told me my pitching career was over after my right shoulder surgery -- this is the left one now (second round on cortisone)

I'm confident this shoulder will squeak by again

And THAT'S how you start a game. 2 bagger for Billy that barely scoots out of the infield. :O)

Double off the second baseman's glove.
Rounding third and heading for home...
