Some crazy rain here in Downtown Cincinnati, too. I was watching the Brewers until I lost my signal. I'm hooked into a DirecTV Master Dish and this is only the second time I've ever lost my signal. 'Tis the season.

Totally irrelevant to baseball, but on the rain delay show, Jeff Picero said that before he was in Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler was in Supertramp. I've never heard that, and I'm big fans of both bands. Anyone know about this?

There is no mention of supertramp on his wiki page.

    Negative.

It's possible he did session work for them at done point but he wasn't a member of Supertramp

If only there was some fount, or Googleplex of information that you could query or search to find this out.
Sabermetrics is this: A batter's goal is to extend the inning. Extend enough innings and you're going to score runs. Extend more innings than your opponent and you're going to score more runs than him.

Forget the rain. It's never an official game until the Reds piss away a run between third base and home plate. - Bluegrass Redleg

Never heard that before, and I think that is mistaken. My roommate in college was a HUGE Supertramp fan, and me Dire Straits. I think we would have shared this as a common thread...and we had very little in common.
