When you get a chance, watch that play at the plate again. Focus on when Joey slides and how slow he is advancing towards the plate DURING the slide. Too early and digging in too much. Without the catcher there he might've stopped right at the dish.

Close play at first. Barely beat him.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

Look on the bright side, the earth might not still exist in five years.

1-2-3 for Latos. Rizzo pops out to Cozy.

Alright, let's put some more on the board!

    1-2-3 inning for Latos.

I've got a good feeling that the Reds are gonna put at least 5 or 6 on the board tonight.

Agree. I think he's hesitant to slide. He needs to go station-to-station.

Why should we trust you? You're a villain.

Fifth was the lowest spot he mentioned.

Skip misses 2 or 3 bases by inches.

Skip. I was referring to his line drive down the left field line that went just foul.

If the goal of the new rule is to prevent home plate collisions, why aren't teams telling their players to run through the plate like they run through the 1st base bag? Keep your acceleration going.
