I think Santiago should start in the first game of every double header played against the Cubs in July from now on.

As Admiral Spruance said during the battle of Midway: "I want that second game".

Both teams sending prospects to the mound in the nightcap. Should be interesting.

Considering we're in one of Jay Bruce's trademark hot streaks, I am glad we're playing two today.

"Both teams sending prospects to the mound in the nightcap"

Prospects is one term for it. "Warm bodies" is another

So Pena is back, but not starting either game?

I saw something a while ago about his elbow bothering him. Plus I imagine they prefered Barnhardt catching since he's more familiar with Holmberg
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Thanks. That makes sense. Still, if Pena can't even play 1B...necessitating moving Bruce or Frazier out of position...then why is he even on the bench?

On the 4-man bench, that is.

He's likely available as a PH.
