Is it my imagination or is Billy trying more to get the ball up in the air nowadays?

Good pitching and solid defense will take you a long way. No one wants to believe me.

1-2-3 go the Reds. Brandon grounded out to short.

I am just fine with Cozart being Cozart as long as they solve LF/1b.

Trying? No. They're pitching him down and away and his swing is lifting the ball into the air. He'll figure out how to turn that into line drives and ground balls to the opposite field soon enough.

Is something wrong with Mez tonight? He doesn't look his usual smooth self back there.

Then April must have been a pretty bad month considering they're still 10th out of 15 teams in runs scored despite playing in a little league park. Pitching and defense.
