I am going to the AAA Home Run Derby and All Star game in Durham next week. I don't really know much of minor leaguers these days and don't expect much from the Bats in their game. Who are the guys to watch next week?

The International League team has one player on it under the age of 24. A reliever.
The Pacific Coast League team has a few more youngsters on it, but you miss the top prospect due to a call up last week. Shortstop/Second baseman Chris Taylor has a chance to be a future big leaguer, but not a star. The big draw, prospect wise is now going to be Joc Pederson, who is a top 20 prospect in the entire minor leagues. Outfielder Stephen Piscotty was a top 50 midseason prospect, though when you have 6 homers in the PCL at age 23, I do wonder how your power will play.

Thanks Doug! I had printed out the rosters and was looking them over this morning and was noticing the ages too. I admit I don't follow the minors as much as I used to (mainly just the Bulls since my local team, and Reds affiliates. I sued to know more of other teams, but simply cant keep up anymore to the same levels I used to. I was amazed I didn't recognize more names though. I am going to a meet-and-greet with the teams tomorrow and then the home run derby and games later this week.

I'm not sure where the seats are...got them from a client and have to pick them up in Will Call. I live in Raleigh, but the only time I've been to a game is when they played the Bats earlier this year. Love the stadium, though. Great landmarks for a HR derby. Should be fun.
