I haven't read anything, or I just missed it somewhere, but there has been some shuffling through the Minors in the OF.

With Benedetto going to Bakersfield from Billings, an absence of Juan Silva for a while(guessing injured), same with Amaral. Also, no Winker tonight for Pensacola, he is due to participate in the Futures game, so ther could be some travel rest for him, and nothing more.

I think mth or someone floated the idea of calling up Bryan Anderson, and more and more I like it. He can play first and catcher and has hit well in the minors, and while his brief cups of coffee in the majors haven't shown a lot, it's still more than what Soto showed.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

The Reds made really good decisions with all their catchers this year it seems like. From the top down, Mesoraco, Pena, Barnhart, Anderson, Rossmel Perez has performed really well in AA too. It's really good depth to have for the team, and gives them options at that spot.

I'm on record pining for Navarro, but I could be swayed into giving Anderson a shot.

I think when they put him on the minor league 60 day DL that likely took him out all season, but I could be wrong there.
