Angels Acquire Huston Street from Padres

    Per Rosenthal:

Source: Deal between #Padres, #Angels is 4-for-2. Street and minor leaguer to Angels. Lindsey, Alvarez and two other minor leaguers to Pads.
Lindsay is the Padres #1 prospect (#93 in MLB) and Alverez is their #4 prospect according to Baseball America.

Looks like trades are going to be expensive prospect wise.

Maybe, but there's also a wide difference between the #13 overall MLB prospect and the #93 prospect. That would be like the Reds trading Ervin, not Winker or BobSteve.

On the way out he took a shot at the Padre players. Saying that he fully believed in the management of the team, and that it was the playeres fault the way the season has gone.

They have control of him through the 2015 season if I'm not mistaken.

Lindsay is a solid B prospect performing well in AAA. Plus three other prospects are going with him. That sounds like a lot to me for a reliever.

How is that taking a shot? That's being honest IMO. I'm sure he included himself in that blame too. It's easy to point the fingers at management, but 99% of the time...it IS the players fault.

That makes me more interested in what the Reds could get for Chapman.

Chapman is under team control for 3 more years after this one. He would bring an elite prospect(s) to a contending team looking for the major's best closer.

I agree. Is he under team control through 2016 or 2017?

The Angels are the second best team in baseball with a legit shot at a WS title. This is exactly the kind of move I'd want my team's GM to make. Especially in a large market where you can buy your needs in the offseason and don't have to have prospects fill your gaps.

You usually don't hear much coming from a player that has just left a team in regards to toher players. If anything, the shots are usually geared toward management. Just thought it was different.

Being honest can still be things you shouldn't say. He probably shouldn't have said it.
