Even at best I doubt you could call Brandon McCarthy "average". Maybe relative to that fellow we brought up to pitch against the Cubs. Things looking a little bleak and depressing right now.

I want to say last time I went to a Yanks game, it was $80+ for an OF seat. I sat right near third base at Citi Field this year when they played the Reds for about $40.

Besides the jokes about sightseeing in NY and being awed by living and dead monuments..... what else is to explain this dead walk through 2 very average at best pitchers?

A lineup composed mostly of AAAA chaff and the projected Opening Day bench finally reverting to form, I'd say, while the team's most prominent "star" is playing like a truckload of butts. On the plus side, Walt is stylin' hard in that Tommy Bahama he was sporting pregame.

There's definitely a lifelessness these past 2 games that reminds me of how they looked in San Diego.

On the other hand, they've only lost 2 series in the past 12.

This team has been getting up off the mat all season. They will do it again. Losing two in a row at any time was bound to happen. They can rebound.
