    Nick Howard

It has been only two innings, but I have to say I am highly impressed. Very advanced guy with quality stuff. Let's see how the next couple outings go. His arm was fresh but if he keeps throwing the way he has been, you have something here. Similar velocity as Lorenzen and a much more refined product from where Lorenzen was a year ago. And I put Lorenzen at #3 entering this season behind Stephenson and Hamilton, so I am not selling Lorenzen short. I am a little surprised that Howard has been this good. Just over matching people. Let's see if he can keep it up now that his arm is back to getting regular stress after a short break.

I'm having trouble finding it. Where was Howard assigned?

    Dayton
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Can't wait to see him go. Dayton has been lacking excitement this season
