Assuming nobody is injured, they barely gave Kottaras a chance. Or they suddenly realized, "Holy crap, we signed George Kottaras."
Even though AJ can be annoying with the media and whatnot, I like his grittiness on the field. Living in Chicago and hating the Cubs, I have grown to love the White Sox and AJ was always one of my favorite players while he was here. This would be a good move for the Cards as he can step in and contribute immediately.
