    Jonny Gomes?

On paper he's not much of an upgrade, but some positives:

    -less Heisey/Ludwick
-can still be a middle of the order bat against LHP
-many say this team is missing a spark/leader like Gomes
-they could get him without giving up much

    Why not?

I'm far more interested in upgrades than more of the same.

This team doesn't need another hacker. I like Gomes but he isn't what this current team needs imo.

He is not in any way an upgrade over anything.

after 2 weeks fans would want to another outfielder (from the minors) because they want to see less Heisey/Ludwick/Gomes...

heīs not the solution, we donīt need another low obp guy for lf (who is on top of the low obp a bad defender)

He should never ever ever hit against RHP.

    Ever.

No thanks. We couldn't get rid of him fast enough the last time.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

    Not sure if serious

    2014 vs LHP
    Heisey: .192/.232/.327/.559
    Ludwick: .250/.308/.450/.758
    Bruce:.197/.253/.474/.727

    Gomes: .312/.409/.450/.859

    Career vs LHP
    Heisey: .221/.277/.396/.673
    Ludwick:.241/.321/.453/.773
    Bruce: .232/.302/.441/.743

    Gomes: .280/.380/.498/.878

Oviously we all want a big time player, but management isn't going to spend the money or unload the farm on a team that's in 4th place in their division. This is the type of move most likely to happen.

Might want to check the numbers, he would be 4th on the team in OBP behind Mes, Santiago and Frazier.

We need guys who are better then that, just upgrading a bit shouldn't be the goal, maybe a guy with an OBP of around .366 would be much better.
    Go Gators!
