It FEELS like we've got a pitching coach for a manager...

Yes, Farrel and Bud Black have had good offensive teams-this post is not saying pitching coaches can't manage. What I am saying is that it seems as if Bryan Price has no cohesive idea about what he's doing offensively. Steve Smith/thrown out at home 22 times due to Price 's mandate is a demoralizing disaster. Bruce looks like he's just hacking away without strategy. For that matter, the team as a whole looks like it's without an offensive strategy. Someone needs to let this team know that an offense is not a series of single at bat events, but at bats assembled strategically into a unified approach.

The one thing you can be sure of, the Reds will be sloooooooow todo anything about it.

It also feels like the Reds have a bunch of pitchers trying to hit. Not a whole lot Price can do about that.

If Price is to blame for Bruce does he get credit for Rocco?

The players are obviously to blame for the offense. Jay Bruce is the ring leader of suckitude.

He does not know what he is doing. The endless running into outs with guys who cannot run speaks to this.

Last time I checked he is not the third base coach.

Did he know what he was doing before the break when the team was completely on fire?

How can anyone watch what is going on and not realize the completely on fire pre-break players like Frazier, Hamilton and Rocco have regressed and with Votto and Phillips both out the offense is struggling as a result? Why must someone be blamed other than the (backup) players? You seriously look at this lineup right now and think this is a winning ballclub?

I will answer the question for you: This lineup is not a winning lineup, it may be the worst in the NL.

The "why?" has yet to be explained. If Price really had an issue with it, we'd have a different third base coach, right? He's the manager.

Agree that if price was doing pretty well before Break in a tough spot, hard to lay this at his feet now.

You all know my view on this: they desperately needed reinforcements at the ASB, they didn't get them.

    That's not on the manager.

Because he is backing up his third base coach in the media. Do you really expect the guy to come out and say "Oh man, did you see that awful play by Smith today? Good gracious that guy sucks at his job."

I don't know how else to say this:

    It's the players.

    It's the players.

    It's the players.

    It's the players.

He's been telling his team to not hit or get on base since spring training?

    Interesting.

Price is responsible for a lack of team offensive strategy. Price is responsible for 22 non-forced outs at home plate 100 games into the season. I mentioned none of Bruce's stats-he just looks to me like he's flailing without an approach.

Did you ever see the Reds look as frusterated as they do now under Dusty? Frazier and Bruce both broke their bats in anger last night. Frazier did it with a 1-2 count. Controlling the clubhouse was what Dusty did best, and I'm not sure we ever saw things snowball like this under Dusty.

I don't think this is Price's fault, but yeah.
