Wade Miley has retired only one of the last five batters he's faced.

The Reds batters themselves have retired two.

I'm surprised Ludwick didn't try stretching that into a triple.

You watch this team right now and I can see why one would think "sell" and not "buy". There's no brain AND no heart. It looks like a pile of doo-doo. Nothing but a bunch of parts, but with two players a year away from being leaders in Frazier and Mes.

In the words of Jack Brickhouse -- told you I was old --- the Reds are "snakebit"

Reds leave runners stranded at 1st and 3rd. Simon tried to help himself but hit a line drive right at the 2baseman. No score to the 5th.

Re: D'Backs at Reds 7/30/2014 Day Game

You might think that after 106 games the Reds would try and be a bit more conservative on the base paths.

Maybe they will figure it out after 150 games.

Maybe in the Arizona Fall League, or the Dominican Winter League.

    Certainly by spring training.

Just ridiculous baseball, time after time getting base runners thrown out.

He would do that a lot more often if he was played every day. With BP, JV out and Bruce scuffling I can't understand your manager. Luddy THRIVES in these situations.

twice they the inning came to an end thanks to a hard hit linedrive to an infielder... would be nice to get lucky again

Smart is better than lucky. Or at least more reliable.

If you can't hit much, how can you ruin scoring chances with daring baserunning?

Whatever, I'm sure they know what they are doing.
