He is pretty active as a TV analyst for ESPN, so there is a good chance his schedule didn't line up.

Probably true, but also disappointing. He's talked about his admiration for Oester and was/is great friends and neighbors with Junior. Plus its the Reds, he needs to connect a bit more instead of moving further away.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Cincinnati Bengals - None
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

Well he had to go to the real HOF a few weeks ago, plus isn't it all star weekend? Maybe he shows up it's only saturday.

No Davey either. Only one of the great 8 (except for Pete) who was missing.

Do you show up to all of your high school and/or college reunions, get togethers? That is basically the equivalent for many of these guys, and if you live out of town and/or have other work/life obligations, you can't always make it in, you have to pick and choose

Why? he's got a job somewhere else, he can't hang out in the way back machine just because he used to live in town.

I would also like to see Barry more often at the Reds events. On a side note, I didn't realize Dave Parker was having symptoms of Parkinsons. He was one of my favorites during his time with the Reds along with Eric Davis in the outfield.
