    Billy Hamilton out at midnight?

Walking the streets of Pittsburgh tonight we noticed billy outside a bar with a female and a group of friends pretty late in the evening.

Considering a 4pm start time tomorrow, it begged the question as to whether billy is really committed to the team?

His second half stats stink, his stats are built up on one short spurt. Makes me wonder if his late night hijinx is reason for worry?

Shod Walt trade him? Should price institute a curfew? Should a clubhouse leader sit down with him and teach him to be a professional?

    Food for thought.

Wow. Not even sure this justifies a response.

Billy's bat has went somewhat cold, but he is still outperforming expectations and shows up every day. I haven't noticed any blunders on his part or instances where his head isn't in the game. He's played gold glove defense all year. His average is still higher than I expected.

What do you expect him to do? Sit in the hotel room and watch a movie every night? I bet 90% of people under 25 would be out or up until the early morning hours if they didn't have to work until noon the next day.

Choo is in his hospital room reading Ted Williams' book and googling Pete Rose clips on YouTube.

What is he supposed to do, go to bed immediately after the 27th out? The guy didn't get out of "the office" (the ballpark) until 11:00pm so it is hardly unusual to go get something to eat and hang out a bit after "work". I imagine every other player on the team and the entire coaching staff were out and about at midnight too. Hell, some of their games don't even start until 10pm Cincy time. It is not like he has to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow.

Guys I don't think you understand, it appeared to me his night wasn't even about to come to a close. He appeared to be staying up until at least 1, maybe 1:30.

    It took me a minute.

This is pretty funny even without knowing what was said or who said it, I'm impressed.

    That's some awesome work, Bateman.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

I would venture a guess if you checked the hotel bar and any other "favorite spots" in Pittsburgh, you would find most of the remaining team. Pretty normal stuff. They're working the night shift!

So do the Babe and Cobb. The guy is probably going to be rookie of the year. He's what 23? Let him act it now and then.

Should ORG trade him to The Sun Deck? Should Boss Hogg institute a curfew? Should a moderator leader sit down with him and teach him to be a professional?

    Food for thought.
