    The newest little Reds fan

Just born on Tuesday, 9:18 am. His mother and I are very, very proud, as is his "big" (5 year-old) brother. Thought my net family would like to see a pic. Can't wait to take him to his first game.

    Babies are a miracle.

Teach him to be a lefty sidewinder. There's money in that.

    Good Lord, he's huge!

Congratulations, I sometimes still find myself staring into nowhere, recalling the wonderment that my own kids brought when they joined the world.

    Thanks!

    7 lbs 7 oz, 19.5 inches long

Actually not "huge" but a good sized young lad. My wife is a champion.

Having kids is the best thing I have ever done.

Congratulations! Every time I see close up a baby or someone announces a birth I get all nostalgic and a little blue and wish i could do it all again. Who knew picking out car seats and childhood shots and such would be memories. The season of your life is spring. Like Opening Day. Enjoy it while you are in it before it becomes late autumn.

I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

Congrats RedEye! My wife and I just had our first on September 1st. Now that we're in Blue Jays country, I'm going to have my work cut out for me. But at least I can get her to be a Votto fan!

She was 3 weeks early and just 5 lbs 14 oz, so she's not much bigger than your little guy at this point.

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Congrats, RMR! She is absolutely precious. We actually live in Braves country now, but so far Freddie Freeman et al. have been no competition for my 5 year-old, who loves Votto unabashedly (not to mention AJ Green). We'll see what his brother brings...

Congratulations to you both! My daughter was born on September 12th (10 pounds!) and it's been an amazing ten weeks so far. I tell people it's the easiest hard thing I've ever done. All the reds outfits we bought for her don't fit yet, but should be perfect come April. Thankfully I've managed to stave off my wife buying any Braves gear for her (she's a reds fan too at least) but I fear grandma may ruin that this Christmas. Anyway, here's an obglitory pic Click image for larger version.

Adorbs! 10 pounds is a big baby -- kudos to your wife for carrying her!

Hey, at least you don't actually live in Braves country. I fear that ATL tractor beam may suck my two sons to local sports teams as they get older.
