Why? Look at Leake's stats the past two years and tell me why Boston wouldn't do it?

My buddy. avid Red Sox fan, sent me the tweet. Apparently this kid has reported trades in the past before they broke on the national level. I rarely get on twitter and saw the fancy logo and said why not. If it was a trade for Leake it would make sense for both parties involved and the kid has gotten a few right in the past.
Some people are more concernced with being first rather than being correct. I agree with thatcoolguy_22, Twitter is the worst thing ever. It has dumbed down the entire Internet. I truly believe that people who enjoy Twitter are not very intelligent.

I think it is a fair trade. Both players are free agents after next year and both have salaries that are at the upper limit of their actual on-field value.
Leake? Yes. Latos? No.

The problem with Cepedes is that he won't get a QO or the draft pick that it nets. That significantly lowers his trade value. I would demand a prospect along with him for Leake.

Cespedes is not my favorite target, but Leake straight up? Yeah, I'd do it. I'd still like to add a fourth OF like Nava or DeJesus and I'd still look for an option @ SS with a better bat, but while his OBP/contact isn't what I'd like he'd be a solid offensive upgrade w/o a longterm commitment.
