Ed Sabol Founder of NFL Films Passes Away

Ed Sabol who was the founding father of NFL Films passed away at the age of 98 yesterday. The NFL owes a lot of their success to him. All of those old films we see were what he produced. They are classics now. If you ever get a chance to see the NFL series called The NFL Lost Treasures you should watch it. A lot of the history behind NFL Films is a part of that series.

In a different world, he'd have been a masterful propaganda artist for some corrupt government.

And I mean that absolutely as a compliment.

He brought character to the NFL more than anyone I can think of.
