But which mound? GABP's? Louisville's? Or just Goodyear's?

Redszone #2 Prospect Robert Stephenson and the word "shoulder" were both in the same sentence. (Perhaps already mentioned...didn't see any links)

Odd that the Reds beat writers don't have this. And they're IN Goodyear. Considering the source...ESPN...I'll wait before I buy this one.

    http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/12...y-start-season

Bailey, 28, has been limited to playing catch since he reported last week and is scheduled to throw off a mound for the first time on Friday. Bailey's timetable has him returning to the rotation in mid-April.
Mid April. And opening day is when exactly? April 6th. So even if accurate...we're talking 1 start.

Um, this may need its own thread, if this is true. Kinda burying the lede to have it in this spot only...

You made me scramble to twitter - C. Trent took that report to Walt/Bryan and they flat denied it.

    A relief.

I just hope Homer can be back at full strength relatively early in the season. That could be May sometime, fine with me.

I've felt all off-season fans were possibly discounting his recovery time.

Homer's a long-term asset, the main thing is that his recovery is complete. Reds will find a way to get through some weeks without him if necessary.

I hated the Bailey extension, but hopefully he can be back at full strength by May 1st. Even without Bailey, we have Cueto, Leake, Cingrani, DeSclafani, Iglesias, Holmberg, Marquis, Maholm, Moscot and Magill that could fill the open rotations spots.

I'd go: Cueto, Leake, Cingrani, DeSclafani, Iglesias/Marquis/Holmberg

Chapman, Jumbo, Parra, LeCure, Hoover, Maholm and ?(whoever misses out on SP spot) or Magill

You're forgetting Badenhop who is a lock to make the team ... and you're missing Kevin Gregg who I think has an excellent chance at making the team.

Sounds like ESPN reporting of a mid market club. Someone saw that Homer reported and could not throw right off the bat..... Well he must be out until at least May. Can I work for them to cover the mid market teams?
