Maybe they want his first start against a lousy Brewers team instead of Atlanta.
Leake was supposed to start tomorrow, they're pushing him back to Thursday to pitch against Atlanta.
This tells me the Reds think there's hope for this season.

I hope that they feel like he is actually ready for this and he is not being rushed like Homer was at the beginning of his career. No reason to shatter the kid's confidence if this team has a remote chance of making the playoffs.

I just got my ticket on TiqIQ. Actually got two tickets in section 103 for a total of $11.64 including the ticketing fee. Sweet.

I'm thinking the same thing.
It sorta feels like they were planning on bringing him up at some point anyway this season, otherwise they could've avoided starting Lorenzen's service time altogether and just went with Iglasias or Axelrod or someone.
A total of 160.2 MiLB innings pitched. They're rushing him.
