I hope Lorenzen has a Cueto-like debut. Didn't Cueto strike out 10 in his first start? I will have to look that one up. Yes, he did. On April 49, 2008, Cueto made his ML debut against the Diamondbacks. He went 7 innings giving up just one hit, no runs, no walks and striking out 10.

I changed the title for you. Don't think its the 49th of the month quite yet.

Lorenzen says thank you to Price for resting the best hitter on the team on my MLB debut. We can't repeat Price's answer.

The game is on FSO today.

I have no problem with Votto sitting. After last year I'd be giving him much more regular rest.

Didn't Boesch take some snaps at 1B this spring?

Lorenzen Prediction: After staring at my bowl of Cream of Wheat for an interminably long time, I have received my answer. 6.1 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 4 K.

He certainly did. But he proved to be just a bit too proficient with the Fumblerooski.

I hope he pitches a no hitter and strikes out 18.

Seriously, not expecting great things right away from Lorenzen. He's been shot out of a cannon.

Was thinking that as well, but he's never played an inning there in either the minors or majors, so I could see the logic in Negron.

    But still...yeesh.
