    Weiss, Klimesh Promoted

Weiss to Pensacola, Klimesh to Louisville, according to a Pensacola tweet:

Hook Line and Sinker ‏@wahoosblog 18m18 minutes ago
TRANSACTION: RHP Ben Klimesh promoted to @LouisvilleBats, RHP Zack Weiss promoted from @daytonatortugas. #Reds

Seems early, but the results are certainly there. Both have been lights-out. Especially Weiss, who was the MiLPOD Pitcher of the Month for April (which no doubt explains the promotion).

Was someone let go at Louisville to make room?

That would explain why Weiss wasn't used in the ninth inning today, even though he hadn't pitched since the second of May.

It does seem quicker than usual for the Reds. Perhaps the urgency at the ML level has something to do with speeding them along.

Exactly. Sounds like they're trying to hasten a solution. Or at least find out if one is at hand.

And nothing of value was lost.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

So who do the Turtles gain? Someone coming up from Dayton or off the DL?
99% of all numbers only tell 33% of the story so when looking at the numbers remember that numbers is plural...

    Fingers crossed it's Jonathon Crawford.

The tall lefty, 6'4" Nick Routt, was a 16th round draft pick out of Mississippi State in 2012.

Routt has a 92 mile-per-hour fastball, a 12-6 curveball with a sharp slurve action and has reintroduced himself to one of the better circle changeups in one of the better college baseball leagues in America.

During the last two seasons he has made 12 starts, yet pitched less than 40 innings. He must have been hurt quite a bit.

I've liked Klimesh and McMyne for a few years because they're power arms. Glad to see them finally playing so well. I like Weiss, too, but we've only seen him play well.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Interesting arm. He'll join Mississippi State University teammate Evan Mitchell in Daytona.
