"One of the few coaches in baseball who was a legitimate star"

Of the top of my head:

    Ryne Sandberg
    Robin Ventura
    Mark McGwire
    Chili Davis
    Wally Joyner
    Tim Wallach
    Don Baylor

None as big a star as Dave Righetti
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

My opinion of Mike Leake...didn't exactly change tonight.

    But he's not THIS bad.
I'm just going to go find a cash machine.

Out of curiosity, was that the last time he batted second?

You could make an argument for Righetti over all those guys except for Sandberg, Ventura, McGwire, Davis, Joyner, Wallach and Baylor

Tonight notwithstanding, the Reds are an offensive juggernaut.

Does "juggernaut" mean a sleeping donkey with a fly buzzing around its head?

At least the Reds are wearing camo so nobody can see how bad they're playing.
