Outstanding job of not only drafting, but signing these guys.

Noticed this quote from the article:
Maybe the Reds can convince this kid to come and do statistical analysis for the organization."It would have to be pretty life-changing, a lot of money, because I think college is really a great opportunity," says McAffer, who is looking at studying statistics with a minor in computer science. - See more at: http://www.nsnews.com/sports/big-lea....KTIoUVY3.dpuf

Miles Gordon is officially in the fold now, though we've known he was going to sign for a while.

Reds fourth-rounder Miles Gordon has signed with the club, Callis recently tweeted. The outfielder will receive a $475K bonus that lands $18,300 shy of the slot value for the 115th pick, Devan Fink tweets. The speedy Canadian product rated within BA’s top 200, based upon his athleticism and reasonably high ceiling. He had been slated to attend the University of San Francisco.

Nice profile of 26th round draftee Dwanya Williams-Sutton. Shame the Reds did not find a way to entice him to sign. He sounds like he was briefly tempted by being drafted. 6'3 240 with a 40 inch vertical is thrown out there in the profile.

Here is a article on how his day 2 of the draft went.
http://www.wilsontimes.com/News/Feat...aft-day-buffet
Williams-Sutton got calls from two MLB teams in the seventh round, one offering the slot value amount for a signing bonus and another a significant amount above the slot value for the pick.
He turned them both down as well as another offer in the eighth round.
"It still feels good to get called in the seventh round,” said Williams-Sutton said in Pizza Inn, where he and White were eating with friends Luke Taylor, Jake Taylor and Cedrick Kirby along with Greenfield coach Daniel Johnson and their travel team coach Earl Taylor.
"I’m not going to say which teams but I’ll just wait out three years and see where it goes from there.”
As he was speaking, his cell phone rang with yet another MLB team offering a signing bonus amount in the ninth round, but the answer was still no.
Williams-Sutton said that the fifth round was his cut-off point for considering a pro career immediately.
"But still getting a call in the seventh round, I was iffy but then I was like, I’m going to go to ECU and play baseball there for the next three years and hopefully I’ll be in the top three rounds,” he said.
