I hear ya and I don't doubt it one bit. The thing that is puzzling is Purdue was stacked in '77. Kyle would have been a intricate part on that Boiler team. Just seems to me that the HC "ran" him off. This is the same coach that played Tom Sheffler over Joe Barry Carrol and the same one that rarely played Jerry Sichting in his tenure.

I don't recall anyone predicting this team would go undefeated.

Depending on how UCLA finishes the season though, this loss could hurt them come seeding time, especially with UNC, Louisville, and KU still on the schedule. UCLA IMO was the easiest of those four, but it was also the earliest test with a still growing team.

UNC is a neutral site game, but they aren't Michigan State. If they play like Saturday it will be over by halftime.

Louisville is this teams first true road test and will throw a full court press at a young PG.

Kansas is going to be the statement game. The good thing is Kentucky does have a month of SEC play before taking on the Jayhawks. Like UCLA, I don't expect Kansas to be intimidated by Rupp. They do play WVU in Morgantown the Tuesday before coming to Lexington, so that could work either way.

But it is still on UCLA's!!!!!!!!

I feel there is a learning curve for UK as far as their young guys. But there are blue-bloods out there that like to play up tempo. The young 'Cats need to get better at shooting the three.

The defense will improve but not having a true rim protector will hurt...

Derek Willis has got to take open 3s or he's worthless...

UCLA is really good. Really hate losing to them.

Kentucky up by four with over three minutes to go against UNC. Monk has 41 and Fox with 21 pts and 9 assists.

And for Monks performance, that lob will likely give the game to UNC.

UK vs UNC was one of the more entertaining college hoops games I've seen in a long time. Monk will deservedly get a lotta the talk, but Fox running the show in a game like this was so impressive. Orchestrating Kentucky's chaotic pace in a game that was played at this high of a level is crazy. And he ended up with 10 assists and 2 turnovers. The game had 203 points and who knows how many possessions.

Cardinals don't match up well with the Cats at all. I expect Pitino to slow it down to a crawl and get really physical at home, hoping the refs swallow their whistles under intense crowd pressure.

Look for Cal to get at least one technical from Ayers. Look for Briscoe to get one too.

Might even see a box and one on Monk, making UK's other guys beat them from deep. The power forwards will have to play well and rebounding will be key.

So you are saying this in spite of Pitino saying he wants to run with Kentucky?

Id go with the trademark full court Pitino press and see how well Fox and Monk can handle it in a hostile road game.
