    Dave Reynolds @DaveReynolds2

Sources have told me that Valley officials visited Murray State Monday, are at Valparaiso today and have visits set for Milwaukee and Omaha.

ESPN analyst and mid-major maven Mark Adams tweeted that Valparaiso will replace WSU as a 10th member in the MVC.

He's gotta be pretty good if he survived The Purge. He's actually a former coach and lives in Springboro. Ironically while still employed at ESPN he lost his analyst gig at American Sports Network when they shut down earlier this year. But he's really a big advocate for the mid-major conferences.

It's official. Only Valparaiso will be getting an invitation to join the MVC.

Excellent fit. Nice work by the MVC. You're not going to replace the conference bell cow, but geographically, competitively, type of school; this is as close as you're going to get.

His tenure is sure coming to end with a thud. I don't know how Lyle quitting can be blamed on Matta. But in a make or break season, you sure would want your best player on the team.

I know this is more suited for next season, but the SEC-Big 12 challenge was revealed today:

While the Kentucky-WVU game will get all of the hype, I'm surprised Missouri and Kansas didn't get matched up for the Border War.
