    Yep

And I have since seen a story that indicated he was scheduled to throw a 25 pitch bullpen session, so there's not much difference there. I should have read a bit more first

I'm sure he'll be fine, but I suspect there was a pretty significant difference. First, I assume he DID throw a 10-15 pitch bullpen before he went into the game. Plus, I have to believe the level of intensity/effort of game 7 of a regional vs. your typical bullpen is quite different.

So, the Oregonian had been sitting on a story they broke this morning that Oregon State's star pitcher, the nation's leading pitcher, failed to report as a sexual Offender. He was found guilty when he was 14 of luring a 6-yr old family member into his room and assaulting her. This happened in Washington where juvenile cases aren't kept locked up for these crimes. Oregon State claims this is news to them. He's scheduled to pitch tonight where he brings a 12-0 record and 0.79 ERA into the game. The county the OSU campus is in is where he failed to report.

    Stay tuned.

Apparently, the news came out yesterday as I see the draft forum has it there. Had not read the draft forums once this year until now.

I can't believe it's a good idea to have him pitch tonight.

Louisville is the first to get within one game of Omaha. Future Red Brendan McKay will be on the mound tomorrow to get them there.

Oregon State has wisely chosen not to start Heimlich tonight.

I'd address the ignorance and hypocrisy that permeates through this board, the Oregonian, Oregonians, and the rest of society, over at the political forum but, it would only feed their feelings of superiority and solicit more ignorant and hypocratic responses from the masses.

The altruistic response is to start him tonight. The non-altruistic World is an ugly place to live in.

Seems like they were the preseason number one, so they've responded well.

He was going to be a huge distraction. Good move stepping aside.

Louisville the first to Omaha. Kentucky barely made the Cards sweat getting there.

    Re: College Baseball 2017

For the 2nd Day in a row, K. J. Harrison has hit a 3-run homer early in the game to open up a lead over Vanderbilt. He did it today over the possible #1 overall pick, who was dealing on 19 pitches through the first two innngs. The Beavers' Offense is just dominating (and their pitching is even better).

Wright has pitched great for Vandy, but there's a player better than he is out there. Nick Madrigal has two hits and a walk against him and is probably going to be the MVP of the College World Series..

I've never compared anyone to Pete Rose before, but he is Rose's clone. He has every insinct Rose had. He hits as well as Rose hit. He hustles as much as Rose hustled. He prepares for every game as much as Rose did. He dominated the pitcher who was sharp today and will be tomorrow's #1 overall pick.

Madrigal accomplished something that just doesn't happen in the Pac-12. He won Player-of-the-Year AND Defensive Player-of-the-Year. He is going to be a multiple All-Star in the Majors.

He will go way under-drafted because of his size. Fools. Nothing will stop him from becoming a multiple All-Star. He's simply exceptional. He has no flaws.

Oregon State blistered Wright in two of seven innings, and now they are pouring it on. Wright had the Beavers with nobody on and two outs in the 7th, and then just unbelievable quality plate appearances by the Beavers had six straight batters reaching base without an extra-base hit.

Maybe I'll see you in Omaha.
