    Favorite Song Of Classic Artists

Listening to music today and came across my Favorite Floyd song and it got me thinking of my favorite songs of the classics. I figured a good idea for a thread would be to name your favorite song (not plural) of the classics. I am just going to list the big dogs.

Led Zeppein - What Is And Should Never Be (this was hard for me)

    Pink Floyd - Echoes

Beatles - A Day In The Life

    The Who - Baba O'Reily

Bob Dylan - Shelter from the Storm

    Hendrix - Bold As Love

    Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal

    Grateful Dead - Franklin's Tower

    Neil Young - Helpless

The Band - When I Paint My Masterpiece
What would you say.....ya do here?

One of my good local radio station plays Pearl jam frequently but for some reason is limited to pretty much only 3 PJ songs. Elderly Woman is one of them (but nothing off of Ten gets played regularly) and I have heard it so frequently that I could happily never hear it again.

I saw Quadrophenia a few weeks ago. About three people in the theater. Hell of a movie. Sound track is superb.

Not sure how I feel about this:

Re: Favorite Song Of Classic Artists

I'll have to do some serious thinking on this before I post my list. As the resident Beatlemaniac I certainly can't narrow any one particular Beatle song down as my absolute favorite. But I'll definitely show my age when I do post my list (LOL)

But I will throw this in.... For the last month I've "rediscovered" the Who's Quadrophenia (I haven't listened to it for years). Can't stop listening to it. Simply a masterpiece by Townsend who I rank right up there as far as influence on my life when it came to music/artist. Like Lennon and others - he spoke to me, I seemed to know where he was coming from, I connected with him.
