OK. I still think Hitter #3 should be spending his offseason doing a lot of book learning.

We should all spend time learning....

But man, it's such a weird comment based off of one at bat. From a 17-year-old kid from the Dominican who has probably played in 100 organized baseball games in his entire life.

We shall see, I suppose. My keen scout's eye thinks his future might be in accounting.

Based on what, 7 pitches seen as a 17-year-old?

I mean, yes, you are probably right, because the odds that ANY 17-year-old is going to be a Major Leaguer are very small. But it's still such a weird statement to make based on the video.

Not as weird as you commenting on it four times. I watched the kid "hit". He looked like a mess. Maybe he's Ozzie Smith in the field. ???

It was one at bat. And he's 17, and was going lefty-lefty. I could find a Joey Votto at-bat from this year where he looks significantly more overmatched than that kid did in this one.

Well, we'll see if he improves on that .211 he hit in the DSL this year. With 1 dinger.

There's next to no correlation between DSL performance and future performance. Much less at age 17.

If you had told me that Jacob Heatherly's thread would end up being a critique of a random 17-year old international player in the Dodger's system...

... I wouldn't have been surprised because this is Redszone...

One of the most absurd pissing contests in the history of RZ, which is saying something.

Sort of like a pitcher with a pulse vs. Batter #3.
