Because he hasn't pitched in a game since April and they are being careful with him

Freddy Norman was a solid #4-5 starter, a lefty version of Leake. That last starting spot was iffy, but otherwise the Reds had a solid starting rotation. Their problem was that there were no Hall of Famers in it, so it paled in comparison to the starting lineup.
if I recall right, Dick Williams won 3 straight world championships and i think he said that during that 3 year period, jack Billingham was the best pitcher the As faced.

I hadn't heard that, but I don't doubt it. Billingham in 1972 was much better than Billingham in 1975. He had one of the best curveballs in the game at the time, so if he was on with it, it was lights out for hitters. Looking up his stats from the 1972 WS, he started two games, finished another for a save, and had a 0.00 ERA in over 13IP.

So he was on what, a 15 pitch pitch count?

Actually Dick Williams won 2 championships because he resigned after the 1973 season but whatever. Jack Billingham's best pitch was his sinker. Very productive pitcher, particularly in the World Series. It's a shame he could never get to 20 wins in a season

Doug reported he was on a 20 pitch pitch count.

Where do we think Greene starts next year? Stays in Arizona to build up and then heads to Billings or does he go straight to Dayton?

Really good question, would love to hear Doug's take on this. I would be disappointed for him to repeat Billings but that's because I'm an impatient boob

I would think it'd be a no brainer that he starts in Billings seeing as how he pretty much hasn't pitched at all there. Given his age, I doubt they'd move him up to Dayton anytime soon

What's the winter plan for Greene? That could be telling.

Good question. How will they *ahem* winter Greene?
