Ervin gets a start in CF. Hopefully they will give a good long look in CF and see if he is in the plans for 2018.

Good. About time Ervin got another start. Really glad it's in CF too.

This is Joe Morgan night in the FSO booth. He will along for the first three innings. We can always hope he stays and Thom leaves after the third.

Is Winker hurt? Not whining but wondering if I missed something?
Yes, you missed him going on the DL with a hip strain. Sounds like the Reds are going to take it slow with him according to an update today.

0-2 pitch ends up as a double to start

I thought that double by Reyes should have been caught.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.
The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.
Thom and Joe dissing the moneyball approach to baseball. Because you gotta bunt and let that game clock wind down (in other words, give up an out).
OBP is what matters. We all know this. There's a finite number of places for players to land on the bases. And an infinite number of times players can get on base provided nobody makes an out. So making outs is what kills the opportunity to score runs. It's shocking to me how many people, hall of famers even, can't get this through their heads.

lol I thought Homer might get through a 1st inning without giving up a run, what a dope

And bad Homer is on the mound in the first inning 2 runs in - so far

This is a glorified AAA team, Homer.
