Fun With Numbers, Minor League Edition

I'd love to know the last minor leaguer to amass 25 HR, 10+ 3B, 25+ 2B, and 50+ SB in one season. Jose Siri needs one more double, two more HR, and four more SB to join whomever may be on that list.

Shed Long has been on base at least once in each of his last 10 games. He's hit over .400 in that time.

Alejo Lopez has more BB's than K's. Jeter Downs is close. Both have BB% higher than 10 and neither has a K rate exceeding 16%.

Packy Naughton has a solid K:BB (higher than 3), a shiny ERA (3.36), and is giving up less than a H/ IP. Might be someone to keep an eye on moving forward.

Taylor Trammell's in a bit of a slump. Over his last two games, he's 0 for 8 with 5 K's. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Michael Beltre went 3 - 3 in last night's come from behind Dayton win and is hitting over 360 in his last 10 contests.

Austin Ross is too good to be in AA. He's slumming it in the best of ways, though. A 1.87 ERA in 18 starts might well be enough for Ross to be named the AA PoY. Speaking of AA pitching, the Reds own half the top 10 in Southern League ERA (min. 10 GS). Mahle (1), Ross (2), Jose Lopez (4), Luis Castillo (6), and Deck McGuire (10) have all had solid to exceptional seasons.

Tanner Rainey's given up 9 hits in 16 AA innings and 29 H in 61 total 2017 IP. He's given up more BB's (31) than hits. But with a WHIP still under 1.00, he's getting the job done and then some. It'll be interesting to see how he progresses as he moves up the ladder.
