Sunday Sep 3rd Minor League Games

I'm heading to Pensacola game in 2 hours. But I was led to post by seeing Cody Reed with 3 shutout innings with 0 walks in AAA. But now I see he got pulled and replaced by Farrell (who I thought was in Cincy)

BTW, Shed Long was credited with a double yesterday that really was a single. He had turned back to 1st until he saw RF bobble ball.

The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

They did this in Ray Chang's last game, IIRC. End of the line for Blake Butler?
I dont care, Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. Hes in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.

Dayton wins 5-4. Siri hit HR #24, a two run blow. Trammell went 2-4 and Michael Beltre had two singles and a walk. Wennington Romero started but Joel Kuhnel picked up the W in relief with 4.1 scoreless innings.

Guess who just threw a complete game (7 inning) one-hit shutout in his final AAA start of the year? Amir Garrett.

1 hit, 1 walk, 10 strikeouts. That is how you get some goodwill back after pitching horribly from May-August.

Reed pitched three innings last time as well, August 28.

Shane Mardirosian has put together a decent little month and a half in High A. In just over 100 PAs, he's gone .292/ .371/ .416/ .787.

He's played LF pretty much entirely in Daytona, but is a 2B too. Mardisosian is only 21.

Speaking of Daytona, The Sheriff Wyatt Strahan had a solid game. Over his last 10 (which includes two stinkers in a row before this one), Strahan's got a 3.10 ERA. Overall, he's at 3.84.

    Billings won, 16 - 7.

Lots of hitting stars, as you can imagine.

Gordon had four hits including a HR.

Fairchild had 3 hits and his 12th SB.

Andy Sugilio had 4 hits too and is now rocking a .350 BA. He also stole his 18th base against 4 CS. Sugilio's played all three OF spots this season.
