    RIP - Harry Dean Stanton

The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

He didn't really serve much purpose in the new season of Twin Peaks but it was great just to see him on screen. He has a starring role in David Lynch's son's new movie, which looks decent based on the trailer I saw.

The world is a little less laconic tonight.
“It is quite possible--overwhelmingly probable, one might guess--that we will always learn more about human life and personality from novels than from scientific psychology” ― Noam Chomsky

“Reading is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, often helplessly, into another’s skin.” -- Joyce Carol Oates

"Lyle's house is dilapidated. Using two canes, Alvin makes his way to the door. He calls for his brother. Lyle invites Alvin to sit down. Lyle looks at Alvin's mower-tractor contraption and asks if Alvin had ridden that thing just to see him. Alvin responds simply, "I did, Lyle." The two men sit together silently and look up at the stars."

From Wikipedia, commenting on the final scene from, "A Straight Story".
"One problem with people who have no vices is that they're pretty sure to have some annoying virtues."

"The life of a repo man is always intense."

I believe HDS was in every movie made in the 1980s.
Wait until the year after next year.
