In fairness, Loiza was just hoping to tie the MLB record with 20 Ks in a game.

Nats pick up Matt Reynolds from the Mets for cash considerations.

According to Mike Puma of the NY Post, the Mets are discussing batting our old buddy Todd Frazier leadoff.

I would wish them the best of luck with that.
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." -- Isaac Asimov

Have they looked at his OBP? Frazier like Duvall is helpful in the right spot- namely 6th or 7th in a lineup

We certainly can't talk. Our leadoff hitter has a career OBP of .298.

Does Bryan Price manage the Mets too?

I don't make the lineup (and based on that thread where I argued Alex Gonzalez should leadoff, it is good I don't)

It's not a bad idea. Frazier had a .344 OB last season. And putting him in a lineup position where he needs to focus more squarely on OB might be a good way to get the best out of him.
Wait until the year after next year.

Mind boggling to me that the Mets can be this bad.

In hindsight I should have looked at his OBP, not as bad as I thought.
