Why do we care about what happens to Northern Colorado?

Not really. North Carolina's was much worse and involved a large swath of the student body. It was a university scandal. Northern Colorado's was a piddly, garden variety athletics scandal.

I always thought that was a quote about Woodens UCLA teams?
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

I suppose it could apply to UCLA......but that is an actual Tark quote referring to UK.

Rick Bozich aricle from October 14, 1988 in the Louisville Courier-Journal.

    Wrote Bozich:

"How about it, Jerry Tarkanian? What's the perspective from the Nevada Las Vegas, where arm-wrestling with the NCAA is an elective subject?

"'The coaches I've talked to all say Kentucky's going to get clobbered, but I still don't believe that,' Tarkanian said. 'I agree with (Oklahoma City coach) Abe Lemons. He said that the NCAA was so upset with Kentucky that they were going to give Cleveland State two more years' probation.'" - "It's Madness, and It's Getting Late" by Rick Bozich Louisville Courier-Journal, October 14, 1988

I was in school at NC State when they got hammered by the NCAA at a time when shenanigans just as bad (if not worse) were occurring (despite attempts at revisionist history) in Chapel Hill and Durham, respectively.

    Wake Forest, you're next!
