    Nice win, Cleveland.

Jumping ahead to next weeks games:

    IF
    the Bengals beat the Steelers
and the Ravens lose to the Titans
and the Browns beat the Chargers
    then
the Bengals will be in 1st place
the Browns will be in 2nd place
and the Steelers will be in last place.

I wonder how long it's been since the last time the standings looked like that.

They televised the Bengal's game in my region (CBS 7 Dayton). When that ended they switched over to the end/OT of the Brown's game. They rarely ever televise the Brown games around here (central Ohio), and probably because they sucked (LOL). But unless you're paying for some sort of "package" it's hard to get their games. 10TV (CBS) out of Columbus carries a lot of the Brown games, but I can't get any of the Columbus stations with my antenna. All the Dayton stations I get great ... but I live closer to Columbus. Quite perplexing.

I saw that game yesterday not as a battle between two bad offenses - but two really good defenses. I didn't get to see the game (listening on the radio), but getting to see the OT was enough (LOL). I've been so "conditioned" as a Brown's fan, and watching that OT, I kept saying "OK. What are you going to do, what's going to happen this week, that loses you the game?" (LOL) That winning FG just barely made it over the uprights!

Don't know, but would love to see it (LOL).

While anything's possible, I think it's going to be tough for the Browns next week vs the Chargers. That's why that win vs the Ravens this week was important IMO. BUt it is another home game, so that helps. But the two losses by the Chargers were to the two only undefeated teams in the league at 5-0 (KC, Rams).

And then of course there's Phillip Rivers!

All I can say after that debacle of a game is "OUCH!". Welcome to the NFL Mr. Mayfield (LOL). I don't think it's going to be the only "ouch" game for Mayfield and the Browns though. Part of the process. Just don't let the rookie get the crap beat out of him, and our O-line play this past weekend was horrendous.

RB Hyde traded to the Jags ..... http://www.espn.com/blog/cleveland-b...of-carlos-hyde

I was ecstatic when the Browns drafted RB Chubbs. But even before the season began, and with the signing of Hyde who would be their premier back, Chubbs was going to see limited carries. But when the kid has had the opportunities he has performed well. So I'm not upset over this trade at all because I want to see what Chubbs can do, coupled with the Brown's biggest play maker from last year Duke Johnson.

And it's obvious that Dorsey wants to see it too ... because, IMO, he basically dumped Hyde for a 5th round pick (LOL).

And the beat goes on (LOL) .... https://www.10tv.com/article/nfl-adm...d-mayfield-hit

But what makes it even funnier (and head shaking) is this ....

First-year referee Shawn Hochuli made the situation worse by incorrectly announcing that Mayfield "was still a runner and therefore is allowed to be hit in the head."
And with thinking like this we wonder why we're seeing such a slew of terrible calls each and every week? Obviously graduates of the Evelyn Wood Refereeing Dynamics course. Geez.

In this instance it appears the NFL fired an official for a missed call, and for not "maintaining a very high level of performance over a sustained period." ... https://www.10tv.com/article/nfl-rep...rs-browns-game
