Not going to work cause all the little guys believe they will be big guys one of these days.

Interesting that the Vikings denied the Giants permission to interview their QB's Coach (for O.C.), not even knowing who their QB will be.

Remember when people wanted the Bengals to draft Reuben Foster?

For the second time in less than a month, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster has been arrested.

The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police confirmed Sunday night that Foster was arrested earlier in the day on charges related to domestic violence, threats and possession of an assault weapon.

This makes sense, but "making sense" and "the Dolphins" more often than not don't belong in the same sentence, such as "what were they thinking when they signed Suh in the first place tk that ridiculous that made zero sense at the time, and hindsight says that assessment then was correct.

I gotta feel for my friends who are Dolphins fans.

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports "confidants of [Dolphins owner] Stephen Ross" informed him that Ross "was ready to move on" from DT Ndamukong Suh.

Suh is heading into the fourth year of a six-year, $114 million mega-deal and is set to count a whopping $26.1 million against the Dolphins' salary cap. That's almost $9 million more than the next-closest defensive tackle. Suh just turned 31 last month but remains a legitimate game-wrecking force inside. However, the Dolphins need a lot more than Suh before they start competing for Super Bowls. Designating Suh a post-June 1 cut would save Miami $19 million versus the cap.

Glennon looked terrible in Chicago, but there were major issues that worked against him. Now that his price will be ultra cheap thanks to last year's performance, this woild be a very good Quarterback to put behind a young Quarterback who has job security, but the team needs a Quarterback to win a couple games if necessary. Teams like Tampa Bay (he's back), Tennessee, San Francisco, Jacksonville, Tennessee, even Cincinnati if the Bengals trade McCarron, Dallas, Indianapolis, Houston. The list is longer than this. It was a bad situation in Chicago

ESPN Bears reporter Jeff Dickerson believes the "writing is clearly on the wall" that Mike Glennon won't be back with the team for the 2018 season.

The Bears have already paid Glennon $16 million, and the plan is for that to be all he gets from them before he's due a $2.5 million roster bonus later this offseason. For $16 million, Glennon made four starts for Chicago, completing 93-of-140 passes (66.4%) for 833 yards (6.0 YPA) and a 4:5 TD:INT ratio while losing three fumbles. The Bears aren't going to pay him $15 million to be a backup.

Only way Jax would be interested in him is as a backup.
The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

That's what I was saying. The only way anyone should be interested in him is as a backup, where the Starting Quarterback doesn't need to feel threatened. No controversy. Everybody knows their roles.

The RAMS have taken over the NFC West. I can't believe there are still people who get paid to write about sports that thought last season was a blip for the RAMS, and that they thought the Seahawks will just retool and take back the Division.

The RAMS blew past the Seahawks last year and have now lapped them after acquiring Marcus Peters, as good as it gets for a Secondary player, from the Chiefs today.

I would love to know what that feeling is like in football when you have an Owner committed to winning. Just once.

The dominant teams in the NFC (in no particular order):

    Minnesota
Green Bay (Aaron Rodgers has been the best player in the NFL, hands down, for the last 8 years,...Tom Brady has been 2nd to him,...witha new G.M. we'll see if Rogers can get any help)
    Philadelphia
    Los Angeles

These are all 11-14 win teams.

The NFC South is strong, but there isn't a dominant team there. Atlanta, Carolina and New Orleans all have the potential for 12 wins, but it's hard to get through the division without 3 losses. The other Wild Card should come from here.

Pete Carroll will start to hear firing rumors.

Writers don't get paid to be correct. They get paid to draw in readers. Stating the obvious won't do that.

True, but they thought they were stating the obvious.

    Re: 2018 NFL Season Thread

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

Former Dolphins and 49ers OL Jonathan Martin has been taken into police custody after posting a disturbing image on Instagram of a shotgun and ammunition, threatening "suicide" and/or "revenge".

Martin was the famous victim of "Bullygate" while with the Dolphins back in 2013. In the photo he posted on Friday, Martin wrote, "When you're a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide, or revenge." In the photo, there was a shotgun and several rounds of shells lying on a bed, and Martin tagged former Dolphins teammates OG Richie Incognito and C Mike Pouncey. Martin also tagged two others, presumably from his old high school, while also tagging the #MiamiDolphins and #HarvardWestlake, his high school. Harvard Westlake subsequently shut down its campus after seeing the image. Martin was then taken into custody shortly after. The 28-year-old hasn't played in the NFL since 2014 and clearly has some mental issues. Thankfully, it didn't turn ugly.

    Re: 2018 NFL Season Thread

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs and Rams are "in the final stages of talks" on a trade that will send LCB Marcus Peters to Los Angeles.

The deal is expected to be agreed to as early as Friday, barring an unexpected snag. The trade can't become official until the new league year opens on March 14, but it appears the Rams have their new No. 1 corner. With Trumaine Johnson set for free agency, Peters will likely slide into his spot on defense. No. 2 CB Kayvon Webster is still recovering from a late-season Achilles' tear. Peters irked many in the Chiefs' organization at times, but there's no denying he's a top 5-10 corner and is first among all cornerbacks in interceptions (19) since entering the league in 2015. Peters has two more years of team control on his rookie contract.

    Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter

Reports are that the compensation will be draft picks.

Jerry Jones is going to have to stop by an ATM next time he's in NYC.
