Elizalde isn't technically gone, guys. http://redsminorleagues.com/2018/05/...exican-league/

I mean, yeah, the odds he ever returns seem very small. But, he's still available to the Reds if and when they want him. More detailed explanation at the link.

    https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/...-bergjans.html

The Reds acquired right-hander Tommy Bergjans from the Phillies in exchange for cash, also per Eddy. Bergjans, 25, went from the Dodgers to the Phillies in the 2016 Carlos Ruiz/A.J. Ellis trade. He struggled to a 6.57 ERA with solid control but just 7.1 K/9 and a whopping 2.37 HR/9 in 50 1/3 innings at the Double-A level last season. He’s allowed just two runs through seven innings this season but has failed to record a strikeout in that time.

Reds have reinstated Brian Hunter from the restricted list, he was suspended last July 80 games for PEDS.

They also released UT Shane Mardirosian, the Reds drafted him in the 7th round of the 2014 draft.

A lot of time the Reds immediately cut the 80 day suspension guys. Guess that didn't happen?
The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

The Reds have made 2 NDFA signings since the draft.

The previously announced Jerry D'Andrea and the unreported Josh Rich. Both have been assigned to RK - Greeneville

There are still 2 dozen players who entered the year under Reds UPC's who have yet to be assigned. Most are international players, who have likely been released since the year began (but were never announced). The rest are probably injured.

I'll try to post on them as I find information.

So, the Reds released Jeison Rijo.

I can't imagine how bad he had to screw up for that to happen. He was a 6-figure bonus guy a few years ago, who hit .310 last year with some pop as a 17-year-old in the DSL. That's not a guy that just gets released for nothing.

Trammel would probably be in the Major leagues if he played for the Nats or Braves. What is with this team? Ugh

I don't think you can compare Trammell to Soto or Acuna.

Wasnt really, he should be in AA but my point was more so that the reds promote quite slowly compared to many other orgs. You could look at a player like Albies as well. He was no better then Taylor has been and they kept pushing him up. Taylor has a way better plate approach as well then both of the Braves kids. Soto is just a freak.
