Pennington, making a late push, whacks his second triple of the game.

Short Start for Romano may be to allow them to pitch him on short rest next time to set the rotation. Not sure.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I don't feel like taking off a shoe, but the Reds have exhibition games scheduled the next five days. So, Romano would go on the 27th. 5 days hence would make it April 1st. That will also be the Reds 3rd game of the regular season. So, if Romano is #3 in the rotation, then he is right on schedule. It seems to me anyway.

Vance Worley righted the ship after allowing the first three runners he faced tonight to reach. 3 IP and just 1 R.

Austin Brice should probably starting checking accommodations in the Louisville area. If he was still in the running for a spot, tonights 1-inning, 3-run showing should effectively remove him from further consideration.

Rainey with a scoreless 8th. The 9th is not looking so good though. The Reds lead 7-6 in the bottom of the 9th, and the first 2 have reached for Texas.

Tanner gets Gallo to strike out. 1 away.
5-4 force for the second out. Runners on the corners.
    F8 to close things out.

    Nice job by the youngster.

Starting to think Worely might get the last spot over Weiss and Shack

A good idea in these meaningless games. Try to get him as many shots to get going. It doesn't mean he has to hit there on Opening day.

Then why take him out after 5 innings?
