Billy's OB, in the first inning, last year was .348 OPS .780, 2016 was over .400 and OPS over .800. You can say what you like, but you can't say he starts the game as an automatic out. The Reds and Billy, both were at the top of MLB, in runs scored in the first inning.

Sit Votto a couple days in a row. Send a message, you preform or you ride pine. 2 runs in the last 3 games.... It's time to change the culture.

If the Reds benched everyone not performing they would have to forfeit games.

These stats scream that the Reds need to play Billy an inning a night!

The last two years, the Reds have been well above average offensively, with Billy at leadoff, well below, when batting 9th or out of the lineup. The fact that you don't realize this is a little surprising, the fact the Reds don't know this is unacceptable.

The fact that you're arguing billy needs to lead off rather than be a role player used very judiciously is a ton lot of surprising but it's perfectly acceptable because there's no law against making uncompelling arguments.

And that's the thing right there...

If batting 9th, after the pitcher, doesn't hurt your pride enough to put in extra time in the cage, nothing will.
If having one of the greatest students of batting as a teammate, doesn't take your batting game up a notch or two, nothing will.

I believe we're seeing everything Billy Hamilton has to offer as a major league batsman, and it just isn't enough.

...Except for the soon to be record-setting-in-awfulness 2018 Cincinnati Reds, of course. For them, he should be CF batting leadoff, every game.

I don't want to speculate because I really don't know, but I get the feeling Billy isn't the most diligent of workers. I partly feel this way because he can seemingly be found out at the Banks on any given weekend.

The fact you can't accept the fact, the Reds have been significantly better on offense, with Billy at leadoff, just shows you can't admit when you're wrong. Don't have to argue about it, the results show The Reds are better, argue with the results if you wish.
