Also, what bonkers fun that was to watch on FS1 - jaw dropping how far the club and city have come in such a short time.

And 1-1-1 given where and who the first three opponents were with an even goal differential is so far past any reasonable hopes that it is stunning.

Absolutely came across great on TV, amazing atmosphere.

Nice of the team to put on a show too. That second goal with the back heel was just sick, loved it.

As far as I can remember, I believe this is the first meeting between a Portland franchise and a Cincinnati franchise, though I certainly don't know of all of the obscure sports.

I was at the game. FCC looked great. Helps that the opponent was hapless. People were apoplectic watching their MLS original get schooled by an expansion team forced to play many of its bench players. Then we realized they have a front office/ownership that's actually trying.

Yeah - I looked at some of the comments under the MLS article on the game - people are rightfully irate. There was one team on the pitch that looked like an expansion team at any rate - and it wasn’t FCC.

I thought at least once I heard that - NER had a guy who kept curling the ball 50 feet high and 30 feet wide into the tunnel - I thought I heard some sarcastic cheers after the second of those.

The addition of Saief and Garza returning from injury make all the difference in the world. They wouldn’t have gone to Seattle and won at full strength but I’m betting they wouldn’t have given up 4.
