Perez was up at some point. They showed him on TV. Did they sit him down?

They must have. Cleveland's bullpen camera showed only Otero warming up when Francona made the change.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

Again, your term "momentun" is wrong. You're changing the subject by using that word, and not realizing what just happened to the Indians. That's a once in a lifetime kind of loss for a franchise. Their best pitcher throws a gem and they give up a 4-run lead plus 3 more runs needing only one more out, then are quickly closed out in the bottom of the 9th to lose the series.

They had the game won which would have placed them at a .600 clip over their last 10. I guarantee they will play at a .400 or worse clip over their next 10. This kind of loss takes a week plus to go away.
This response by Cleveland only proves my point that emotion drives sports as much as anything. Cleveland knows how to respond. They are now 8-1 in series finale games when facing a sweep crushing their opponents, 76-21 in those games. They are 13-3 overall in Home series finale games. Emotion drives that kind of effort.

While most teams have folded over the decades when they have faced a devastating loss like Cleveland did on Tuesday, these Indians have a different emotional makeup. They were able to dig deep down inside of them and pull out a collective effort that was their season's best. Their pitcher was striking out batter after batter while their hitters put up two touchdowns and a field goal befor the 4th inning ended.

This team has to be on World Series watch. This is no ordinary Division Leader (whom the REDS just beat for the series, another series win against a Division Leader for the REDS). This is a club of Championship material.

What happens one night has an effect on what happens the next night. As Francisco Lindnor said after Wednesday's game, "Guys are going to get a lot of confidence out of it. Pretty much everybody got a hit. It gives you that little confidence for the next series and the next day."

"One problem with people who have no vices is that they're pretty sure to have some annoying virtues."
