Reports I got recently were that Mike had become an island when it came to decision-making and wasn’t listening to others, including Yadier Molina on when a pitcher should be pulled, for example. Doesn’t mean he didn’t recognize the magnitude of his job or the trust he was given.

Ahhhhhh, this warms my heart. Over the years I have been sickened to no end with STL's nauseating "Cardinal's Way" bull, as though they are somehow on a higher plane than the other bumbling goons in the league.

I find this move was unexpected by the Cardinals. They didn't see this coming even though they'd missed the playoffs the last two yrs and honestly weren't expected to get there this yr either.

If that's a denial of snark then it's a first for me. Say what you want about me but I own up to what I say around here. In other words I never strive to be politically correct. I don't mind ruffling feathers. I also know that you get ruffled easily but honestly I wasn't trying to denigrate the Reds here. This is a move that sets the Cardinals apart from most major league teams
