    Bump.

Duvall is dialed in since coming up from AAA a few days ago.

His second bomb tonight was absolutely crushed.

    Edit: currently 8-16 with a 1.534 OPS.

I'd thought Duvall might be a good offseason pickup. Too late now.

Dang, 440 feet. You weren't kidding.

Good for him, I always liked the guy.

    Jeff Passan

Right-hander Trevor Bauer has been traded to the Cincinnati Reds, sources familiar with the deal tells ESPN. He will move as part of a three-team deal with the San Diego Padres, according to sources.

he's gone 9-for-17 with three home runs and five RBI in four games since his recall.

    Duvall is what he is.

Sometimes he gets hot, often he is not.

He'll hit some HR's at the expense of a low BA.

He's not suddenly a different guy.

If he’s back to who he was in 16-17, he’s a solid, league average LF. The problem was that it seemed he fell off a cliff in 18. If he’s climbed his way back, he’s a good MLB player.

.105 /.171/.132 (!) in 10 games since his last HR, which was against the Reds on August 1.

"He is what he is" indeed.

If you don’t put gold glove finalist before Duvall’s name you are doing it wrong.

Thing is, we still don’t know who he is.

Is he the solid starting LF of 2016-17, with a league average bat and above average defense, or is he the hole in the lineup he was in 2018?

Currently, he has a .810 OPS, so, so far, he’s the former. But if his slump continues, he’s likely the latter. Rather silly to draw a conclusion based on 16 games so far either way.

That's...not a huge range of possibilities. So we do indeed know who he is, the only question is if he has it in him to pop enough HRs to stick around.
