    In 21 games since being recalled from Triple-A on July 20, OF Phillip Ervin is 20-for-56 (.357/.400/.589) with 5 2B, 2 HR, 13 RBI and 9 R. #Reds

I quickly looked at the lineup and thought how is Barnhart playing both LF and Catcher

Could tonight be the night Robert Stephenson grows up?

There had to be a misunderstanding with the FO and Riggleman when they brought Dilson up. This is just appalling. He needs to be getting ABs somewhere

I know "we're" a little outfield challenged at the moment but I'm not sure why Prestin Tucker is getting starts....maybe it doesn't matter but is he really on the radar for next season and/or beyond?

The FO can tell Riggleman anytime that he has to play Dilson.

Is he going to walk the first hitter?

I never noticed the OCD-like nature of Stephenson till Thom mentioned it.

Peraza missed a catchable line drive.

Gameday shows all the borderline strikes being called balls. Reputation for wildness can't help with those.

Also he has not thrown an offspeed pitch or slider for a strike yet. That does not bode well.

Ramirez flied deep to CF. Alonso up next. Yonder k's on 3-2 pitch. Looked like offspeed pitch he was ahead of. Melky chades one out of strike zone to end inning.

No runs, and it was extended by Peraza not coming up with catchable ball, but that was 26 pitches in the first.
